Current Issues

Safer routes to School

The School Council recieved a letter from a resident in the village to ask the School to remind all parents to slow down when driving through Cheddington. The School Council wrote in the weekly newsletter but felt they wanted to do more.  They have organised a poster competition and the winning posters will be displayed along the High Street and Mentmore Road.

The School also participated in the National Walk to School Week.

Playground Equipment

It was agreed that there should be more equipment available. This has been purchased and everyone agrees it is a great improvement.

Anti Bullying Policy

The children have put together an Anti Bullying Policy which all year groups have agreed and signed.

Children's Questionnaire

The School Council have produced a new children's questionnaire, all the children in the school have completed a questionnaire and the School Council are now looking at the results.  The results of the questionnaire were discussed and some points were taken back to the class to discuss during circle time.

Corridor Rules

The School Council discussed and agreed new rules to make the school a safer place.  The School Council met with the staff to agree the rules.  The new rules were explained in a whole school assembly.  Each week a corridor cup will be given to the class with the tidiest corridor.

Sensory Garden

The School Council helped create the new Sensory garden.  The garden is used by all pupils at the school at break time and during lessons.  There is now a school gardening club to help with the upkeep of the garden.
