Healthy Schools

The school is participating in the 'Healthy Schools' initiative and actively seeks to promote and improve the health and well-being of the whole school community through all aspects of school life. There is a Task Group which leads the project led by Mrs Le Voi and Ms Irene Short. Members include parents, teachers and governors. Healthy Schools is a way of living in a school community and as such will be an ongoing project. 

Just before Spring 2007 half term the School was informed by Bucks County Healthy Schools’ Validation Panel that Cheddington Combined School has been successful in its quest to be officially recognised as a 'Healthy School'. The Healthy Schools' Task Group, led by Mrs Le Voi and Ms Irene Short, should be congratulated on their hard work over the last eighteen months which has resulted in this award.

Cheddington School has also joined Eco-Schools which is an international award programme that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a framework to help embed these principles into the heart of school life. We are please to announce that we have already received our Silver award.
