Pupils' progress is  assessed regularly by the teachers against Key Performance Indicators. These state key learning for each year group in each subject, and indicate the milestones which demonstrate age related expectations. (These are shown in our curriculum section.)
Pupils in Y1 to Y6 also complete termly formal assessments in reading comprehension; grammar, punctuation and spelling; and mathematical understanding. The pupils' attainment and progress are used to aid the teachers in identifying additional learning programmes which may be needed.
