Improvements to buildings and grounds

6th July 2018
We have used our new bike and scooter store for the first time today and it has attracted a record number of children to cycle or scoot to school. Well done!
We worked with Pentagon Play on this project and we highly recommend them to any school looking to develop their outdoor area. You can visit their website here –
We are delighted wth the improvements made to our school over the last two weeks. Our new windows and doors are already making a huge difference to the Reception and Year 1 classrooms. Tinted glass in some of the frames and openening panes at the top help to keep us cool in the summer heat. It has been a little disruptive to share our site with so many contractors but we all agree that it was worth while to ensure that this essential work was completed quickly. The improvements have all been funded by county and so have not impacted the school budget.
We are also very exited to see the new play equipment and bike/scooter shelter finished in just two days. Monday will see a new team arrive to lay the safety surface which will be ready to use on Tuesday. A new rota will be in place and KS1 classes will get an introduction to the equipment with their teacher who will show them how to use it safely. The equipment has been funded through additional sports and fitness funding which we have received this year.
