Sports Week

20th June 2018
We are two days into sports week and the excitement is mounting!

Our week opened with KS1 and KS2 sports days. The weather was warm and all of the children took part in a range of track and field events. Cheered on by their teammates and what may have been a record attendance by parents, everyone had fun in the sun.

The winning house for KS1 was Beacon and the KS2 winner was Tower.

On Tuesday we completed a mile run and then the focus moved to football competitions. In KS1 and Foundation Stage all pupils took part in a beat the goalie competition which was won by Windmill. During the afternoon, KS2 played a world cup style competition with each house entering two teams. The final ended up being between the two Tower teams with a narrow win eventually going to the Tower Tigers.

We have all learned about the importance of both winning and losing gracefully in sports competition, a concept that will continue to develop during the week.

Next up is a visit from coaches with the MKDons.
